Blogging is for people with a lot of time on their hands. Evidently the youth of today have a lot of time on their hands, because lately there has been an absolute barrage of blogs written by shockingly cool 14, 15 and 16 year olds. Where some of us spent our youths wearing tencel, now there are bloggers like Sea of Shoes wearing Balenciaga, the ‘Fashion Pirates’ and the best of the bunch – Style Rookie, aka Tavi.

Tavi is a twelve-year old girl who is cooler than anybody we’ve ever met. One cynic here thinks it has to be a fake, while other less jaded ones believe she is the real deal. Whatever the case, Tavi is an adorable 12 year old with a Twiggy bob, vintage spectacles and an amazing eye for fashion. You can’t really compare the experience of reading a 12 year olds musings on couture and homework, and her crazy thrifted outfits and curious inspirations prove that style is innate.

Team Tavi. If she is this cool at 12, we predict some sort of a Chloe Sevigny meets Cory Kennedy ‘Super It Girl’ in about 3 years time.
