Dion Lee takes out the 2010 Spirit of Youth Award for fashion

Congratulations to Dion Lee who won the fashion section of last night's Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards. Well deserved we say!
Dion showed perseverance pays off - having made the final three in 2008, he lost out on the night to Antipodium. So to all those labels (including Carly Hunter and Michael Lo Sordo last night) who have made the top three but were pipped at the post, keep trying!
This tops off a stellar year for Lee, following a standout show at RAFW which led to him to secure some key accounts both in Australia and internationally, with David Jones and now Netaporter.
Lee receives $5000 cash, $5000 in flights from Qantas and a mentorship with the Zimmermann sisters. He plans to use the prize to hire a showroom assistant and travel to Europe for press and sales appointments.
