The flat attack

27 October, 2010

We’ve long been loyal proponents of the flat. They’re comfortable, they’ll take you anywhere and they’ll make you feel like you're teetering ridiculously when you try to walk in them. And now our favourite international labels are embracing the flat too.

Marni and Lanvin sent their models out in super flat sandals with chunky leather straps and metallic bands while Chloé went for feminine traditional-style ballet slippers, Balenciaga did chunky brogues with oversized buckles, Chanel opted for buckled motorcycle boots in tweed and leather and Stella McCartney went for faux-leather strappy buckled sandals with a chunky low heel.

We love the silouhette of the long flowing skirt ending at the mid calf and combined with a delicate ballet slipper or a chunky strapped sandal or boot.

Do your feet a favour and embrace the new flats for spring!
