While the fashion world's attention is on New York, London and Milan, our favourite fashion neighbour has also been having their own fashion week. And because we couldn't be there, we asked our favourite New Zealand bloggers from Accessory of Crime to share their highlights from the week...
Amanda and Emily take us through their favourite collection, most stylish attendee and their favourite fashion week hangout...
(Check out their blog for great New Zealand fashion updates as well as extra NZFW coverage).
Most inspiring collection: Salasai (above).
This collection, to us, was perfection. It was enlightening, and really solved some issues for us. Finally we can dress quirky, geeky yet be hard-edged and gothic at the same time. Look street smart yet intelligent at the same time. Eye opening.

Favourite street style: Marina Didovich.
We snapped her outside the Blak Luxe Show on the fourth day of fashion week. Khaki wool coat, brown felt hat and a perfect punch of turquoise and gold. Most of all she looks so graceful and effortless.
(Marina is a freelance stylist, you can check out her work here.)

Most theatrical show: Nom*D.
Instead of an orthodox runway, the set was made up of three adjacent scenes playing out simultaneously. The models were more like actors/actresses. A unique experience - like seeing a live editorial shoot in action.

Best accessories: Jimmy D.
James' tough fight club chic collection featured loose elongated forms which carried a punch with plenty of X braces, harnesses and awesome body chains!

Best between-show hangout spot: The Library Lounge & Bar.
About 500m away, The Library is our new spot of choice during fashion week, with plenty of nooks to curl into when we want to just get away from it all.

Best hair/make up: Salasai.
The gold foil pieces at the back of the head amplified the collection's otherworldy effect. It's the first time we've seen this done, and paired with the looks, it was a subtle and delicate finish.
