Chloe Sevigny kills it for Opening Ceremony!

11 June, 2010

Oh wow oh wow. It's hard to hold back excitement about Chloé Sevigny's latest offering via Opening Ceremony. Blending every trend you know and love while fusing her statement style of 1990's cool and making everything wearable - this is what makes Chloé such a huge success.

World wide we all have at least one person we know who is a total Chloé wannabe, and who would not want to be her? Aside from that one movie, The Brown Bunny, which is almost vomit inducing sexual, Chloé has done everything perfect in her career.

But this ain't about the actress, this is about the designer who nails each look to perfection season after season, no mean feat. The marriage between OCxCS is a match made in hipster, fashion-loving heaven. Even Opening Ceremony's signature line barely stands up next to what Chloé does.

This season is all about leopard, mini circle skirts, layering and mixing prints. Oh and clogs. I'm still not sold on the clog trend, but Chloé does it really well regardless of any prejudices you have toward Dutch footwear.

Her launch involved her very cool New York it-girl friends playing dress ups at a teaparty type affair. Lesley Arfin (my personal writer hero) and some other chicks who are not as rad hung out looking amazing. The event even had little custom serviettes, which is super cute. Nice to see branding used in a fun way.

I'm looking forward to owning a reversible bomber jacket and a whole lot of leopard print come summer time.
