The Zambesi SS10/11 collection show offered a sophisticated take on grunge.
Successfully morphing the young businessman into a modern day urban cowboy in the menswear collection, Zambesi exhibited sharp tailored pinstriped suits, tattooed models, ripped shirts and leather vests alongside floppy sombreros, cowboy hats and mesh sheer buttoned up shirts.
The womenswear exhibited similar, androgynous looks with pinstriped pants, baggy tops, leather detailing and delicate sheer layers. Dresses were coupled with corsets, a hint of sequins and splashes of rufous and gold that continued the grunge aesthetic while adding delicate and feminine elements throughout.
Elizabeth and Neville Findlay of Zambesi managed to create a sense of fragility throughout their latest collection while maintaining their signature dark and brooding aesthetic.
