We all have different kinds go-to music that we use to get ourselves into a particular kind of mood. For instance, if I feel myself sinking into a grumpy mood, I know if I pop on Paul Simon’s ‘You Can Call Me Al’, I’ll be feeling more upbeat in seconds.
Grizzly Bear are the band you reach for when you’re looking to drift away. The Brooklyn based quartet make frightening beautiful, melodic music, made all the more beautiful by lead singer Ed Droste’s bittersweet vocals.
They have released three studio albums, Horn of Plenty, Yellow House and Veckatimest and we highly recommend you explore all three.
To see Grizzly Bear live in Australia, get yourself organised to snap up tickets to Splendour in the Grass when they are released on the 6th May. Judging by this year’s insane line-up, they won’t last long…
Our favourite songs: Ready, Able, All We Ask, Sorry for the Delay, Deep Blue Sea, Sure Thing, Cheerleader, While You Wait For The Others, we could go on and on…
