Eyewear designer GRAZ is opening an art exhibition this Tuesday the 8th September and you're invited! The opening is being held to launch the exhibition of talented Norwegian artist Sissel Fredriksen at the Rushcutters Bay Gallery and kicks off at 6pm.

Norwegian artist, Sissel Fredriksen likes to draw. She has since she was a child, and in this unique series of works she has invited children to participate in adding the finishing elements to her delicate and expressive works. Her practice assimilates the child’s world view but recontextualised - incongruous yet familiar. She is interested in lines moving backward and forwards, or across on a flat plane, and the dynamic that it produces. She also remembers that it was how she once drew, and is attracted to the simplicity.

These collaborative works are engaging, they capture the ruffled sensuality of our experience. Fredriksen studied at the the Art foundation: University of Bergen, Vestlandets Academy of the Arts, The Chelsea College of Art, London, and The Government College of Art and Design. She has exhibited in Norway for over a decade in solo and mixed exhibitions.
