Luella We Love You, Please Don't Go

18 November, 2009

The fashion world is reeling with news of the GFC's latest victim: London's queen of cool - Luella. The label, loved by UK's fashion elite, has announced that they have stopped trading after their key financier pulled funding, meaning their recently showcased Spring 2010 collection will not be put into production. We can only hope that like Escada, Luella too will find its knight in shining armour.

To celebrate the label that was pivotal in revitalising the London fashion scene when it launched in 1999 with its rebellious English aristocrat aesthetic, we take a look back over the years at the polka dot dresses, clashing bright colours, tailored suits, floral prints and, of course, the frills, ribbons and bows that have made up some of our favourite looks. And we keep our fingers crossed that long-time fans Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sienna Miller, Lily Allen and Alexa Chung will pool their millions and save the day!
