Terry Richardson: sexual deviant or revolutionary talent?

So unless you live under a rock, you would have noticed the Terry Richardson outbreak on the Internets.

Admittedly his work treads a fine line between fashion and Porn, and to some eyes, he leaves the art right out of the picture. But is he a borderline sex pest, or one of the greatest modern photographers in fashion?

Aside from his studio shots and his signature white wall portraits (posed for by Barack Obama, amongst others), he has worked with a rather comfy contingent of international and well respected publications, and also campaigns for large luxury labels. So it can hardly be said he is solely making an income by forcing girls into sex acts for his camera.

A close comrade is another questionable "it" man, Olivier Zahm. Both bros have a penchant for pornographic images. Again, both have come under criticism for their Tumblr Blogs, which feature everything from Asia Zahm, Olivier's little lady having fun, to oral sex and implied orgy situations. No rainbow parties just yet, but there is still time.

Whether you love or hate his work, the allegations and complaints are quite intense. The "Tampon Tea" revelations from model Jamie Peck made more than one girl in our office squirm. The apparent blasting he received in Paris from model Rie Rasmussen could have been dealt with better, he allegedly called her agency to complain after the event. He posted a statement on his now infamous tumblr, which is still in its early days, having launched only weeks ago. Gavin McInnes of Vice/SBATC posted a rather sarcastic post in support of Terry Richardson "Raped" Me Too.

Models and nipples are the order of the day, try picking up a mag without nips, just try! Terry's work pushes the boundaries, if you have seen his book, you will understand. But not only the models are nude here, he also rocks out with his cock out, ready to nude up and hand the model the camera, so they feel more comfortable. So the question begs, Should the girls just walk out on the shoots? Should agents specify what could happen in Vegas? Ultimately, How much nude is too much nude?
