This week's picks from Isaac Likes!

19 October, 2010

To relaunch our ‘This Week’s Picks’ segment we thought it would be fitting to ask that talented New Zealand gentleman who bases his popular blog around his ‘likes’ - Isaac Likes.

So here we have the five favourite things of Isaac Hindin Miller, taken from the newest arrivals at GS.

Hey Isaac, WE LIKE YOU!

EDITION STORE
BENEDICT BRINK BOYS
$355.00
Seeing as I live in New Zealand, I've only been to the real life The Grand Social store once (last week). They were having an exhibition for a Benedict and Maggie Brink and I fell in love with this photo. It reminds of one of the greatest movies of our time: Point Break – so 90s, so aspirational, so American. Jonny Utah is still a personal hero.

BEAT POET
MORNING SHIRT - BLUE FRAGMENT
$202.00
People always say you can't wear navy and black but I totally disagree. I reckon it's one of the best colour combos out, like maroon and beige or grey marle and everything.

EDITION STORE
THREE OVER ONE STANLEY BUTTON DOWN COLLAR SHIRT
$235.00
Gentlemen, you can never own too many button down shirts.

KATZI
ANCHOR CHAIN
$94.00
I always want to be one of those guys who looks cool wearing jewellery. I'm not. If I was, I'd wear a simple anchor necklace like this and pull all the shawties.

ZM925
THE WOLF & GIRL BROOCH
$125.00
When I was young my parents were friends with this seriously bogan family. We'd go over to their house and I'd sit and marvel at the mirrored Jack Daniels art pieces hanging on the wall (while playing with an old lighter that had run out of gas that they kept it as a kids' toy). The guy used to wear howling wolves tee shirts and have dream catchers hanging all over the place. This brooch reminds me of him.
