The best of the men's collections - Milan

24 June, 2010

The menswear collections in Milan have come to an end and will now move on to Paris. It was a week filled with highs, lows and many celebrations. Two of the biggest Milanese houses celebrated momentous anniversaries, Dolce & Gabbana for 20 years of menswear and Ermenegildo Zegna reaching a century in fashion. On top of the hype around these shows, the week also delivered some amazing collections, particularly new established labels such as Caruso, Corneliani and Umit Benan.

The highlights of the week included Christoper Bailey’s heritage biker boys for Burberry Prorsum, Thom Browne’s tour de force for Moncler Gamme Bleu, the innovative ideas and experimental cuts from Consuela Castiglioni of Marni, and my favourite collection of the week, Miuccia Prada’s cultural diversity of suits.
