Beginning with a scrag fight for seats and gift bags, the Nookie show was definitely a spectacle from beginning to end. I arrived solo and the seat to my right, Jenna's seat, was swiftly stolen by a greedy Nookie fan. The gift bags either side of me were snatched quickly by girls in the next row back. It was mental. The line outside was bigger than most during the week, snaking around the Emerge suites and overflowing with excited fashionistas and guys wearing hair gel.
The show opened with a live performance involving a dude playing acoustic guitar and a lady singing. It was pretty cute, and set the tone for the show - relaxed and sexy beach vibes.
I loved the floor length, lightweight, hooded cardis all the models were rocking, creating a very wearable beach to bar look. It was a very fun show, with great accessories custom-made by Zoemou. Chunky plastic bangles from the range were provided in the gift bags, along with a bag of Lindt chocolate, which did not last long I assure you. The gift bags were crazy town, there was special Nookie RAFW 2010 nail polish in there too. Super cute.
Nookie stuck to their hot, youthful look, full of beach and party vibes and we thank them for leaving in desperate longing for a sweet summer cocktail and pumping dance tunes!
Such is the cruel irony that Fashion Week is held at the start of winter, showcasing all the beautiful upcoming Summer collections. Are you already dreaming of a summer holiday?
