LIMEDROP

11 December, 2008

Quirky Melbourne designers Limedrop have built a cult following with their unique aesthetic focusing on clean silhouettes and a unique play on colour.

Design duo Nathan Price and Clea Garrick have joined the GS family (yay!) with the launch of their new summer 08/09 collection - Snakes and Ladders.

This collection is the fifth from the pair and showcases a fantastic combination of energetic blues, canary yellows, silvers and stripes, creating their own unique take on the preppy yachting style.

We're loving the plasticised lycras, metallic-coated linens and the cherry-wood cut-out jewellery. We spoke with Nathan and Clea about their summer plans...

"We like to enjoy summer in Melbourne- hanging out on our friend's rooftop/courtyard, sitting by the pool, drinking in the park and spontaneous road trips. Primarily we will be developing our Spring/Summer collection for next year."

"Our current summer collection is a fun and playful range of fashion and accessories. The idea for 'snakes and ladders' came to us when we were imagining family holidays like in the movies and childhood games."

Collection to-die-for's

"We hate to name favourites- as we like them all, but definitely the duffel bag & silver body suit for me and Nathan loves the long sleeve shirts. The jewellery is great for gifts- pretty much everyone in my family will be enjoying a Limedrop necklace this year."

How their partnership works:

"We try to keep each other sane. We both want to work hard to get everything done- but, of course, we have to enjoy the champagne and have a bit of fun along the way."
