Celebrities have been out in force in the Spring 2010 collections at premieres, award ceremonies and galas all around the world since the collections began showing in September, so we thought we'd have a look at who wore what and who looked best...
Who: Alexa Chung
What: Jason Wu Spring 2010, New York Fashion Week
Where: CFDA Fashion Fund Awards, New York
We have to admit that we love Alexa Chung and wish she was our friend. Of all the British 'It' girls, she is most certainly the most deserving of the attention and we're yet to see her in an outfit we don't like.
We love her in this cherry red cocktail dress from Jason Wu. A great move to ditch the black belt, the lipstick is a perfect match, her hair looks cute and we love that she broke with convention and teamed the dress with simple black ballet flats - very chic.
Who: Sienna Miller
What: Balmain Spring 2010, Paris Fashion Week
Where: Premiere of her new Broadway play 'After Miss Julie', New York
Sienna, you've really let an amazing dress down here. The priviledge of being the very first person to wear a piece from the new Balmain collection comes with it great responsibility, and Ms Miller has really let the team down.
She has had the logical thought that when dealing with such a standout dress she should keep everything else simple. Unfortunately, in this case, her idea of simple has equated to total blah. Much like in The September Issue when she's trying on the amazing couture gowns infront of Anna Wintour with scruffy hair and no makeup but this time she's actually at a public event.
Granted it's hard to be put up beside Abbey Lee, but we would have loved to have seen her team the dress with a smokey eye, nude lips, tousled hair and a pair of killer, killer heels.
Who: Kate Bosworth
What: Alexander Wang Spring 2010, New York Fashion Week
Where: Scream Awards, Hollywood
Kate Bosworth is looking totally hot in this Alexander Wang military hued cutout mini-dress. That colour is mighty tricky to pull off, but Kate succeeds by pairing it with a subtle red lip, leopard heels, a sleek do and a glowing tan.
What: Proenza Schouler Spring 2010, New York Fashion Week
Where: MOCA Gala, Los Angeles
Again, looking very good, like the tousled hair and the sharp black shoes and clutch. The only fault with the look appears to lie in the design of the dress, we can see this because it appears to also be causing Carmen Kass some issues, that being the mysterious saggy granny boob bulges on both lovely ladies.
Who: Chloe Sevigny
What: Miu Miu Spring 2010, Milan Fashion Week
Where: MOCA Gala, Los Angeles
Chloe looks totally cute in this little jewel encrusted top and skirt ensemble from Miu Miu. Good choice of shoes, good hair, beautiful sun-kissed complexion and killer legs.
Who: Natalie Portman
What: Proenza Schouler Spring 2010, New York Fashion Week
Where:Gotham Independent Film Awards, New York
Love, love, love Natalie Portman. Unfortunately, this dress isn't really right for her. It's certainly not disastrous, but with her petite frame she is much better suited to a silhouette that cinches her waist. We love that she's trying an edgier label than we're used to from her, but there were other looks from the collection that would have worked better on her.
Who: Blake Lively
What: Marchesa Spring 2010, New York Fashion Week
Where: Where The Wild Things Are Premiere, New York
It feels like Blake Lively is partaking in a little bit of theme-based dressing with the big feathered skirt at the premiere of Where The Wild Things Are. She's so close to really pulling this off, if she could just push those cascading curls behind her shoulder, then this would look quite amazing. With the curls, it's feeling just a little bit too Dolly Parton.
What: Dolce & Gabbana
Where: Sherlock Holmes Premiere, Los Angeles
Dressing up to match the film again? Ok, now it's getting a bit much. By taking away the lining of the skirt and adding a head of voluptuous blonde curls, Blake looks like she's dressing as a brothel Madame in the hope Guy Ritchie will cast her in a Sherlock Holmes sequel. Cleavage + uber short + sheer black lace = too much.
Who: Demi Moore
What: Lanvin Spring 2010, Paris Fashion Week
Where: Freedom Awards, Los Angeles
Demi Moore is a freak of nature. Or, let's be honest, she has a freaking amazing plastic surgeon. She looks fantastic in this sheathed Lanvin design. She has rightly chosen to leave a little something to the imagination (Blake Lively take heed) and show less leg than the catwalk version. Her hair, makeup and accessories are all perfecto.
Who: Rihanna
What: Marchesa Spring 2010
Where: American Music Awards, Los Angeles
Wowza. That is one hell of a dress. On the wrong person this could look totally naff, but Rihanna makes it her own and gives it a thoroughly modern, edgy feel.
